HLA Inmaculada University Hospital has commemorated its 50th anniversary with an institutional event that ended a year-long program of activities on a high note.
The celebration took place in the outstanding Carmen de los Mártires gardens, in the city of Granada, a unique setting in which to recall five decades of commitment to the health and well-being of the people of Granada, who have made this hospital a reference centre for Andalusia.
The event, which brought together approximately 250 guests, was presided over by the President of the HLA Hospital Group, Dr. Francisco Ivorra Miralles, and by the Group's CEO, Valeriano Torres. It was also attended by prominent local authorities such as the Mayor of Granada, Ms. Marifrán Carazo Villalonga, and the President of the Provincial Council of Granada, Francisco Pedro Rodríguez Guerrero.
Also present were representatives of the Regional Government; the Spanish Police and Security Corps; the business world; Academia; Professional Associations and civil society, as well as many executives and senior managers from the ASISA Group and the HLA Group, who wished to express their support for the Centre on this special occasion.

Since the beginning of the year that commemorates this 50th anniversary, HLA Inmaculada University Hospital has carried out a series of activities with a common theme: to do something useful for the society of Granada.
Throughout these months, the hospital has organized different forums under the title ‘Open Territory’ focused on various key issues for the development of the city such as tourism, knowledge, justice or culture.

HLA Inmaculada University Hospital was opened in June 1975 and, over the last fifty years, has become one of the highest-capacity hospitals in the HLA Group network and one of the leading private centres in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia.
Over these five decades, HLA Inmaculada University Hospital has carried out more than 8.5 million outpatient consultations, treated more than 3.4 million emergencies, performed more than 600,000 surgeries and more than 4.3 million diagnostic tests. Furthermore, 1 million patients have ben admitted for inpatient care and more than 16,000 births have taken place at this hospital.
