The first floor of the HLA Ramón y Cajal Medical and Surgical Centre houses the new headquarters of Ripoll and De Prado Medical Group, an institution specializing in traumatology and orthopaedic surgery, directed by Dr. Pedro Luis Ripoll and Dr. Mariano de Prado, along with Dr. Manuel Sanz.
Present at the opening ceremony on behalf of the HLA Hospital Group were Valeriano Torres, CEO of the hospital network; Dr. Gregorio Medina Blanco, Vice-President of ASISA-Lavinia and ASISA delegate in Seville; and Carmen Medina Velasco, Director of the HLA Ramón y Cajal Hospital. Ripoll and De Prado Group was represented by Dr. Pedro Luis Ripoll, co-founder of the group, and Dr. Manuel Sanz, medical director in Seville. Silvia Pozo Sánchez, Municipal Councillor for Sports, attended on behalf of the Seville City Council.
High-level sports medicine
Torres, CEO of the HLA Group, stressed that “this high-level sports medicine unit is the reflection of a clear vision: the HLA Group's commitment to offering our patients the best possible care, based on science and technology.” “Excellence also means working with the best professionals, and in the field of sports medicine, there is no better example of excellence than the team led by Drs. For his part, Dr. Pedro Luis Ripoll, co-founder of the Ripoll and De Prado Group, emphasized that his commitment to the city of Seville where “we arrived with much humility, but also with the desire to ensure our institution is of service to everyone across Seville and Andalucía,” he commented.
Silvia Pozo Sánchez, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Sports of the City of Seville, closed the ceremony by thanking the institution for its arrival in the city. “It shows once again that Seville is at the forefront of excellence, with an elite centre available to all citizens,” she said.
The clinical care unit treats all types of injuries related to conditions affecting the locomotor system, covering the entire population, including all ages and activities. This medical institution has a FIFA-accredited international unit specializing in sports injuries.
