Barcelona Hospital has completed its annual internal vaccination campaign. Participation among staff, both healthcare and other services, has been particularly high.
The arrival of cold weather marks the start of the respiratory infection season, which is why SCIAS has carried out a new internal vaccination campaign aimed at all its professionals. Over several weeks, flu and COVID vaccines have been administered with the aim of strengthening protection for both staff and patients and their families who visit the centre.
The initiative, promoted by the management and aimed at both healthcare staff and teams from other departments and services, has been very well received. The response from professionals has been in line with initial expectations, demonstrating their commitment to prevention and safety in the healthcare environment. The final number of people who have signed up has been ‘very satisfactory’, with participation growing year on year, confirming staff awareness of the importance of vaccination.
The Hospital de Barcelona emphasises that maintaining high vaccination rates among staff is a key measure in minimising the impact of respiratory diseases during the months of highest viral circulation. It also helps to preserve continuity of care and strengthen the protection of people who are hospitalised or in fragile health.
