The Hospital de Barcelona Pediatrics Unit has begun a new stage with the launch of its completely renovated facilities. The project responds to the desire to adapt healthcare spaces to the current needs of children, their families, and professionals, reinforcing the commitment to high-quality, safe, and humanized healthcare.
A design focused on family well-being
The renovation has made it possible to comprehensively update the unit, incorporating more spacious, functional, and comfortable areas. The new design prioritizes both the well-being of pediatric patients and family accompaniment, a key element in childcare.
In this sense, the new facilities promote a more welcoming environment, designed so that boys and girls feel calmer during their hospital stay and so that families can experience the care process with greater comfort and security.
Innovation in Neonatology and Emergencies
The renovated unit includes the pediatric hospitalization area, new boxes for outpatient surgery, and specific spaces for Neonatology. This latter area has been designed following current trends, facilitating the joint stay of the baby and their family in the same space to encourage early bonding.
Regarding the Pediatric Emergency Service, its structure remains, although it is now integrated more efficiently. The nursing area and care circuits have been optimized, allowing for better coordination between teams and a more agile response to patient needs.
