The HLA La Vega (Murcia) hospital has taken another step forward in its commitment to preventive and personalized medicine with the creation of its new Medical Genetics and Genetic Counseling Unit, a specialized service focused on early diagnosis, prevention, and monitoring of hereditary diseases.
The new unit makes it possible to identify genetic risks even before symptoms appear, facilitating preventive measures, specific checks, and treatments tailored to each patient. Furthermore, it offers guidance and counseling both to those affected and their families through the official website of Grupo HLA.
For its part, HLA Los Naranjos has launched a new Pediatric and Adult Neuropsychology Unit in partnership with K-Neuro. This new service is designed as a comprehensive resource that accompanies the patient from detection and diagnosis to the design of individualized treatment plans.
The unit treats children and adolescents aged 0 to 17 with a multidisciplinary approach that integrates neuropsychology, psychology, and speech therapy. Key areas of focus include early intervention, aimed at early detection and action during the first years of life (the stage of greatest brain plasticity). In the field of adult neuropsychology, activities are developed across two major groups of conditions: neurodegenerative diseases and acquired brain injury. The former includes pathologies such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, Lewy body dementia, and frontotemporal dementia. The latter encompasses strokes, traumatic brain injuries, brain tumors, and central nervous system infections.
The Directorate General of Insurance and Pension Funds (DGSFP) has officially authorized ASISA to operate in the home insurance branch. With this major regulatory milestone, the company will begin marketing specific products designed for home protection in the coming months.
The ASISA Group held its annual Consultative Board meeting, where it presented its results for the 2025 financial year, a year marked by the fulfillment of its strategic objectives and a notable boost across all its business areas. During the meeting, the company confirmed the solidity of its cooperative model, achieving a total premium volume of 1,890.52 million euros in the Iberian Peninsula. This 21.1% increase compared to the previous year was complemented by a 7.3% growth in its healthcare turnover, which reached 725.5 million euros, thus consolidating the entity's best historical record to date.
