HLA Hospital Group has reinforced its commitment to robotic surgery with the addition of new Da Vinci robots at its hospitals in Madrid, Murcia, Almeria, and Jerez de la Frontera (Cadiz). In total, the group now has seven operational robots across its healthcare facilities.
The arrival of this technology places HLA La Vega (Murcia), HLA Mediterráneo (Almeria), and HLA Jerez Puerta del Sur (Cadiz) at the forefront of robotic surgery in their respective provinces, allowing medical teams to perform minimally invasive surgical procedures with greater precision, safety, and control. The Da Vinci system is especially indicated for complex interventions and is commonly applied in urology due to reduced risks and fewer side effects for the patient.
The Da Vinci robotic system enables high-precision surgical procedures using 3D magnified vision and millimeter-level movements of maximum accuracy, promoting safer, less invasive surgery. This technology offers benefits to patients such as reduced intraoperative bleeding, reduced pain, lower risk of complications, faster recovery, and shorter hospital stays, allowing patients to return to their daily routines sooner.
In the case of HLA Universitario Moncloa (Madrid), the group's first center to install this technology in 2017, it has added the Da Vinci 5, the latest and most advanced version.
