The HLA Hospital Group handled more than 3.3 million consultations in 2025, once again exceeding the records of the previous year. These results reflect the group's consolidation as a leader in clinical and technological innovation, as well as its commitment to the incorporation of new professionals in different specialties, factors that have driven the growth of its healthcare activity.
During the past year 2025, the HLA Group attended to 570,000 emergencies and more than 210,000 hospital stays. Likewise, it performed nearly 180,000 surgical interventions, 1 million diagnostic imaging tests, and nearly 20 million laboratory determinations.
Benchmark in technological and clinical innovation
In 2025, HLA has consolidated itself as a reference in clinical and technological innovation with the incorporation, at the HLA Vistahermosa clinic in Alicante, of the first Da Vinci robot in the city. This technology allows for minimally invasive surgeries with millimeter precision, improving the surgeon's control in every surgical gesture and directly resulting in an accelerated recovery for the patient.
This addition joins the other two Da Vinci robots that the hospital group already has at its centers in Málaga (at the HLA Universitario El Ángel hospital) and Madrid (at the HLA Universitario Moncloa hospital). Looking ahead to 2026, the company's plans include the incorporation of a fourth Da Vinci robot in the private healthcare sector of Almería, specifically at the HLA Mediterráneo hospital.
The arrival of robotic surgery in the province of Almería will redefine its healthcare landscape, improving expectations, reducing travel, and bringing innovation closer to patient care. Furthermore, it represents an advancement that goes beyond the strictly surgical field, providing medical professionals with tools that allow them to train and work with latest-generation techniques, expanding the capacity of the center and the team by facilitating the incorporation of specialists in robotic surgery.
In the field of diagnostics, the HLA Group's Almería center incorporated a latest-generation CT scanner with artificial intelligence in 2025, an example followed by the HLA Montpellier clinic in Zaragoza, which added a CT scanner with the same characteristics.
Artificial intelligence allows for sharper images in less time, in addition to reducing the radiation received by the patient. This technology is especially useful in areas such as cardiology, neurology, and oncology.
Appointment scheduling via WhatsApp with artificial intelligence
Furthermore, the HLA Hospital Group has incorporated a new appointment scheduling system via WhatsApp with artificial intelligence, a pioneer in Spain. Unlike traditional chatbots, based on rules or decision trees, this solution features autonomous learning, which allows it to understand, reason, and learn from the interaction with each patient. The system has been tested over an accumulated experience of more than 280 million appointments.
With this milestone, the hospital group reinforces its commitment to technology oriented towards reducing inefficiencies and improving the patient experience. The virtual assistant, named Julia Eniax, facilitates appointment management, the sending of notifications, proactive test scheduling, or understanding what the patient's experience has been like to improve the service.
