The Grup Assistència laboratory reinforces its role as a key tool for more integrated, agile, and secure medical care.
Two years after its launch, AssislaHB has consolidated its position as a strategic component within the Grup Assistència care model. The clinical laboratory, which centralizes all outpatient analytical activity for Assistència Sanitària and inpatient services at the Hospital de Barcelona, was created with the aim of strengthening support for doctors and contributing to top-quality healthcare.
Its integrated model allows for the unification of diagnostic criteria, guarantees sample traceability, and speeds up response times, thereby facilitating clinical decision-making. Furthermore, direct communication between laboratory specialists and physicians has become one of the main added values of the project.
With a highly specialized team, 24-hour operational service, and a network of over 150 blood draw locations, AssislaHB combines technological capacity, proximity, and professional excellence. In 2025, the laboratory managed over 4.4 million analytical determinations and nearly 191,000 outpatient requests, while also participating in external quality programs for 100% of its tests.
True to the values of healthcare cooperativism, AssislaHB maintains a focus centered on improving care and service for patients and professionals, consolidating itself as an example of organizational innovation at the service of quality medicine.
The call reinforces the commitment to excellence in training for health professionals and consolidates an initiative that has already allocated 498,000 euros to 531 students since 2008.
